Got a Phooletide prezzie from my music heroes The Young Punx today in the form of this mint comment on my YouTube of their SiMS-sountrack tune 'In the Bleak Midwinter'! Quoth Hal:

----------- So I've found the lyrics for this, as people have been asking. The main lyrics are English. There is a simlish translation too - but Simlish is not a real language - it is just nonsense. The team at the Sims made us a version of the lyrics that sound similar to the real English words but are scrambled into a Sims version. That's why if you know the English version, it NEARLY sounds like it. Here are the English lines followed by the Simlish versions. We recorded both, but this is the Simlish audio here.

In the bleak midwinter

Imba bwee mibwimzer

Frosty wind made moan,

Froxy wimbay moe

Earth stood hard as iron,

Arthsta harbis ira

Water like a stone;

Wobber laka stoe

Snow had fallen, snow on snow,

Snobie fawa, snobie snobe,

Snow on snow,

Snobie snobe

In the bleak midwinter,

Imba bwee mibwimzer

Long ago.

Laga ho

What can I give him,

Wakini gibsom,

Poor as I am?

Purasa nam

If I were a shepherd

Yifawa shi bepper

I would bring a lamb,

Awbuh breegie lem

If I were a wise man

Yifawa shi wizmon

I would do my part,

Awbuh doonie plar

Yet what I can I give Him —

Yeckwa keenie gibsom

Give my heart.

Gibmuh har
